English-American actress Lily Collins has had a busy year, graced by roles in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Emily in Paris, and the PBS’s adaption of Les Misérables. But no matter the television show or film at hand, Collins says there’s one role she refuses to play: the token female. “It’s not appealing to me to play someone who is just there for — whether it’s eye candy or the female perspective, you need more than that,” Collins said at the Vulture Emmy Studio in L.A. “It shouldn’t matter about the gender. It should matter about their drive.”
